Workshops

We specialise in Easy Read workshops, but how do they work?

An Easy Read workshop is an in-depth discussion of a draft Easy Read document. IC Works Experts by Experience read every line and check every image in the draft Easy Read document.

Creative and collaborative, Easy Read workshops often include new ideas sparking off ideas and new sentences, phrases or images emerging from a group conversation.

All Easy Read co-production workshops are held on Zoom so that it’s easy for our clients to take part in this creative and collaborative process.

Content authors and those interested in inclusive communication are positively encouraged to join our Easy Read co-production workshops.

Creating your Easy Read Document in Three Steps

  • A mature woman and a man of colour shale hand

Step 1 - Meet The Author

Tell us all about your project and how you would like to involve your own easy read audience or our team of editors

  • A close up of a laptop keyboard, someone is typing on the keyboard

Step 2 - Draft an Easy Read document

An experienced easy read author will transcribe the original document. We will send you this first draft for your feedback before it reaches an Easy Read workshop.

  • A laptop has about 20 people on a virtual meeting, there is a cup next to the laptop

Step 3 – An Easy Read Workshop on Zoom

Our workshops are an open creative space for everyone to come together.

We welcome and encourage clients to join our workshops to get involved with our hands-on approach and see how our experts by experience will critique and improve the draft.
